S88 Adhesive Backed Fire and Smoke Perimeter Silicone Seal Gasketing

The Pemko S88 is a perimeter adhesive backed seal made of high temperature silicone. Ideal for sealing smaller gaps from 1/16" to 1/4" wide where low closing force is expected. The S88 is available in these lengths and colors:

Lengths: 17', 20', 204', and 510'
Colors: Black, White, Dark Brown, Light Gray, Tan, and Clear
**Dark Brown is very dark, nearly black in color.

Function: Thinner easily compressible profile designed to effectively block light, air, smoke, and sound from infiltrating a room. Excellent resistance to compression set, particularly at elevated temperatures and for extended periods of time. Also demonstrates extremely low closing force.

Temperature Use: Stable between -58 degrees (F) and 450 degrees (F).

Fire/Smoke: Tested and approved under UL 10C for fire; UL 1784 for smoke and ASTM E90 and BS EN ISO 140-3 for sound control.

Air: Air infiltration tested in accordance with ASTM E-283-91. Air infiltration is only .09 CFM/ft. of crack.

Category H, J, and G: The S88 meets the requirements of Category H, J, and G.

Storage: Use within 6 months of purchase. Store between 50 to 10 degrees (F).

Installation Tips: Always scrape any residue from previous adhesive backed gasket and clean the surface with alcohol before applying the S88. Do not stretch the S88 during installation. Stretching will cover more linear feet, but the rubber will want to contract to the original length and will eventually pull the adhesive free from the surface.
